Creator Support Guidelines
KyaraFlip is currently in public preview. Monetization features are still under preparation, and this document outlines the planned rollout. As of Q4 2025, tipping, subscriptions, and revenue sharing are not yet available.
When monetization launches on KyaraFlip, payouts will follow the Creator Support Guidelines. This guide summarizes the current pre-release stance and the principles we use while we design the system.
Community collaboration & compliance
KyaraFlip values creator revenue sharing and feedback from the community. We surface proposals and collect input in the Discord community, while final decisions remain with the team under the principles below:
- Top priority: compliance with laws, user safety, and payment-network rules.
- Decision process: we collect feedback through RFCs, forums, and Discord, but final decisions rest with the team. Rationale is shared whenever possible.
- Changeability: during preview the scope, rollout regions, and fee structure may change without notice. Updates will be posted here and in the dashboard.
- Eligibility limits: minors, accounts without KYC, high-risk transactions, and prohibited content (illegal, infringing, etc.) may be excluded or held longer.
- Tokens/points: we will not offer redeemable crypto assets at this stage. Points remain non-cashable unless expressly announced otherwise.
Creator Support dashboard
- Access it from Payments & Balance in the sidebar (`/en/me/payments`).
- The dashboard shows balance, upcoming payouts, and subscription/point purchase history.
- Preview features appear with a “Preview” label and rollout notes inside the card.
Planned funding channels
Revenue-sharing features such as tips, subscriptions, and marketplace royalties are not live yet. We will publish detailed channel, rollout, and fee tables once monetization enters general availability.
Principles for revenue-sharing design
Scope: tips, subscriptions, and future in-work purchases. Splits are defined per `work` (作品 “Works”), and revenue linked to an `artifact` (character) follows the parent work unless a derivative work specifies otherwise.
1. How splits are determined
- Each game or `work` (作品 “Works”) can use a split model selected by the team; rather than forcing a single fixed percentage, we review genre and production factors and evolve the models over time.
- Split ratios balance platform sustainability with creator payouts; community input is welcome, but the team makes the final call and publishes the outcome.
- If a character needs a different rule, register a derivative `work` (作品 “Works”) and manage the split at the work level.
2. Publishing & change process
- During submission we receive proposals from contributors/rights holders and register the rule to the `work` (作品 “Works”) after review.
- After launch we may adjust rules; affected parties receive notice and a clear effective date (changes apply prospectively).
- Formulas, fees, and payment cadence will be published before general availability.
Refunds, fraud & holding periods (overview)
- Holding window: proceeds go through a clearing period so we can validate the payment before finalizing the payout.
- Refunds/chargebacks: the transaction is reversed, creating a negative entry that offsets confirmed balances. Any deficit is recovered from future payouts.
- Fraud controls: self-funding, tip circles, and abnormal spikes trigger extended holds or account action.
Community participation
- Feedback: we publish RFCs and accept comments in the forum/Discord.
- Prioritisation: votes and reactions inform prioritisation, alongside legal, safety, and operational considerations.
- Transparency: we share accept/reject reasons, surface the next sprint’s focus, and summarise changes in the release notes.
